History: The Chic-fil-A Bowl originally created by the Lions Clubs of Georgia, began as the Peach Bowl in 1968 and were played on the campus of Georgia Tech’s Grant Field. It was moved to Atlanta-Fulton County Stadium in 1971 where it stayed until 1991. It then moved to the Georgia Dome where it is played today. The series holds the record for the largest attendance in the history of the Georgia Dome (75,406) in 2006 when Georgia matched up against Virginia Tech.
