History: Originally introduced in 1997 as the Motor City Bowl and was played at the Pontiac Silverdome until 2002 when it was moved to Ford Field in downtown Detroit. Little Caesars Pizza took over sponsorship in 2009. The game features bowl-eligible teams from the Mid-American Conference and the Big Ten Conference with a payout of $750,000 per team.
