2011 Season Outlook: The Browns have one of the leagues weaker schedules this season which should help to bring them back in their division. New head coach Pat Shumur had nothing but positive things to say about the upcoming season. "I think we did great (in the draft). I don't care what anybody says. But we obviously started off the draft by making a historic trade, probably one of the greatest trades in draft history when we traded with Atlanta - our sixth pick to get to 27, eventually up to 21 - because we felt like we needed help in areas and based on talent, based on what other teams around us were gonna do and based on what we needed, we felt like that was the perfect thing to do."
Recap: With a slight improvement last season, there are a new set of problems for the Browns. Firstly, the QB situation needs to be addressed and quickly. The Browns traded both Seneca Wallace and Brady Quinn. The team signed Jake Delhomme and selected Colt McCoy with the 85th overall selection in the draft. With their first round selection, the Browns selected Florida CB Joe Haden with the 7th overall pick and Oregon S T.J. Ward with the 38th overall selection.
This will mark the first season for Team President Mike Holmgren and GM Tom Heckert.
