Injuries have plagued the team and as of this writing, 11 players were on the DL list to include RHP Clay Buchholz, Jason Varitek, Victor Martinez, Dustin Pedroia, Jeremy Hermida and others. RHP Junichi Tazawa underwent Tommy John Surgery in April and is out for the season.
