Recap: Most of the New Orleans Hornets of old are now gone and now the rebuilding begins. Starting at the top, the Hornets franchise hired former San Antonio Spurs President of Basketball Operations Del Demps as the new General Manager of the team then promptly added a coach with another Spurs connection. Former Spurs F Monty Williams will take the reigns as the new Head Coach.

In the draft, the Hornets selected Iowa State F Craig Brackins (21st overall selection) whom they hope will help spell David West. The second pick was on Washington F Quincy Pondexter who many pundits feel will take Peja Stojakovic's position from him.
