2011 Season Outlook: Great things are expected of this year's Lions squad and with QB Matt Stafford now surrounded with a ton of talent, this could be the year that the Lions make the playoffs for the first time since end of the 20th century. If the team can manage injuries, they should be there in the thick of the playoffs and Lions fans will be on top of the world for the first time in the 21st century.
Recap: The Detroit Lions improved by 2 games over their 0-16 2008 season. The team, under new head coach Jim Schwartz, was eliminated from playoff contention after week 12.
In the 2010 Draft, the Lions selected Nebraska Defensive Tackle Ndamukong Suh with the 2nd overall draft pick. They then selected California RB Jahvid Best with the 30th overall selection. They also selected Iowa CB Amari Spievey, Miami OT Jason Fox, North Carolina State’s DE Willie Young and Weber State WR Tim Toone.
